Finally, after a drawn out and unnecessarily difficult process due to Covid and a borderline adversarial builder, the series of works for the Curtin University campus (Curtin Exchange) was successfully installed. Finally got to use the extraordinary transitional safety glass I had purpose developed for some projects which never got off the ground. So excited about the enormous potential for this material which transitions from perfectly flat, flawless mirror by day to a digitally detailed colour or imaged light transmitting surface by night.
Currently applying the same material for an entry work at Homebush Railway station. Fun to get indigenous artist Dennis Golding on board to input in the work’s night time appearance.
